I was honoured to host an art experience in collaboration with the Onaping Falls Art Club.  The art experience I dreamed up was inspired by my mentor Wendy Beaureguard who is a medicine woman and keeper of the forest.  She took me on a walk on her land at Geneva Lake to respectfully harvest elements needed to bring this art to the Library.  Here is what I learned that day:

- You can feel the ora or energy of a tree 5 ft away from it

- If you take from the land, give an offering in return, even a verbal "thank you" would be respectful

-taking time to learn about our environment empowers us to take better care of it
