Autumn Vibes '25 - New painting to share!

Autumn Vibes ’25

Autumn Vibes ’25 was inspired by our move from Alberta, Canada, to Austin, Texas and all the emotions that came with creating a new home and a new chapter for our family. 

The piece was inspired by the heart of our new home, the beautiful kitchen (Bella Cucina), and the feeling of missing my Mom, Anna (Nona). 

As I painted, I found myself exploring what it means to create spaces that feel warm, meaningful, and special for the people I love.

And then there’s the fun part of being a mom and an artist: having access to all kinds of art supplies I probably wouldn’t normally have…Using clay to add dimension to this painting was such a fun experiment. I loved the richness, texture, and expressive quality it brought to the piece. There’s something about working with clay that feels so earthy and juicy.  I already know I’ll be incorporating it into future work.

This painting became more than an exploration of autumn. It became a little reflection on home, motherhood, memory, and finding beauty in a new beginning. Thanks for being here, friends.
